Trust Finance Officer

Actual salary: £23,913 to £25,939
The CEO and Trustees are seeking to appoint a dynamic, resilient and committed individual as our Trust Finance Officer. You will take a supportive role in our central office team, working closely with the CFO to support the current and future financial activities of the Trust.
Tyne and Wear Learning Trust currently comprises of four schools, Barnwell Academy, Dunn Street Primary, Marine Park Primary and Whitburn Village Primary. The Trust also operates three Daycare settings for children under 5 years.
As a key member of the Trust, you will be primarily based in our central offices, but you may be required to work across our school sites during the working week.
Personal attributes
The successful applicant will ideally be at minimum, AAT Level 3 qualified, and have experience of school finance and at least a basic knowledge of the Academy Trust Handbook. Experience of working with Access Education Finance, or similar, would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be someone who has:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience of school financial procedures and statutory returns.
- A sound working knowledge of financial software programmes.
- An excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel software.
- Good organisational, time management and planning skills including the ability to be flexible in order to achieve targets.
